This drug was an enormous help to me when I has a really bad reflux problem it helped to keep the burning sensation down although not gone completely until I was able to have surgery to rectify the problem. I still use it everyday and have no acid reflux at all

I had been taking 20 mg and have not had any problems with the medication.

I have taken omeprazole for many years; I have osteoarthritis,plus espondiltis /sciatica
and was prescribed various antiiimflamtory medicines together with omeprazole to protect the gut , which it has very well.

Omeprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough. This medication helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus. Omeprazole belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).
